NYFW is a semi-annual series of events (generally lasting 7–9 days) when international fashion
collections are shown to buyers, the press and the general public. It is one of four major fashion
weeks in the world, collectively known as the "Big 4," along with those in Paris, London and
Milan.
Picking up from recent conversations about ensuring fashion is more inclusive, the trend continues
with big names such as Amy Schumer supporting the movement and the fashion world opening up
its doors to equality.
We have seen models with Down’s Syndrome on the Catwalk, models who have lost hair from
Cancer gracing promotional campaigns. All these models have indeed become role models
inspiring others who may be facing the same predicaments to not shy away from who they are.
